hannon Bieter is based in the Washington, DC area specializing in designing interiors for clients who want a custom individual look for their home.  She has wide experience in interior design and is very knowledgeable about the industry of home products ranging from furniture to accessories.  She specializes in helping clients who don’t have the time to drive all over the Washington metropolitan area looking for home furnishings.  She brings all the samples right into the homes of her clients. 

hannon holds a Master’s from the University of Arkansas and has studied at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, DC.  After living around the country from Seattle to Washington, DC she has become specialized in bringing each client’s sense of style to the design table.  While her husband was attending school in North Carolina, Shannon was able to learn her way around the furniture market in High Point, NC.   She is very knowledgeable about various styles of furniture.  She also has a wide knowledge of the various manufacturers of accessories, furniture, fabrics and rugs.  

hat she has found most valuable about all clients across the country is listening to their needs.  It’s very important at her initial consultation to feel like she has a grasp of the lifestyle for the client she’s about to begin working with. Of course, she has her own sense of style, but she always remembers she’s designing for the client who has hired her.  In other words this is not her house - the design is for the family who has hired her. 

rowing up in the South has given her a true appreciation for both Old and New designs.  She loves seeing the two fused together. After she met her husband she had the opportunity to travel and learn more about designs in Europe.  Some of her favorite designers are Barbara Barry and Tom Pheasant.

er favorite projects tend to be her repeat clients.  It’s fun for her to walk into a project already having her client’s trust.  Many times these clients will hand over a key and say “Do what you think needs to be done - I trust you.”  That is the biggest compliment she can get from a client.
